MDI SAR training June 12, 2010
To Wilderness Rescue Team, Franklin SAR, Lincoln SAR, Mahoosuc SAR, Unity College SAR, Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, MASAR Education Director, Division of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife:
Hello, I'm coordinating the summer training schedule for MDI SAR and we are having a steep angle litter evacuation training on Saturday, June 12th at 8:30 AM in the Anemone Cave area of Schooner Head Peninsula on Mount Desert Island. The team would like to invite all members of teams and agencies listed above to come participate in (or observe) a joint technical rescue training exercise. If it is more convenient to come up to MDI the night before, we can probably find MDI SAR team members who can provide a place to stay. Please let Steve Hudson (email address shudsonme@myfairpoint.net) or me know if you would like to attend and we will keep you apprised of any developments. See attached photo of the training area from an earlier exercise.
Thanks,
Scot Bowen
